The most recent in the series of Louis Vuitton Trophy events, from the island of La Maddalena in Sardinia, had just about everything from exciting finishes with boats overlapped to splintering crashes, with winds from dead calm to the howling of the Mistral. From it all, Emirates Team New Zealand emerged once more triumphant, but there were very visible signs that other teams are making rapid progress.
