World Sailing, among others, received a communication from Diego Paes Fernandes, the President of the International Federation of Kitesports, saying, effectively, “Hands Off”. For a variety of reasons, the world authority for sailing had been making gestures that claimed Kitesurfing as a sailing sport and should therefore be administered by it. The IFKO letter clearly indicates that it wishes to make its own way into the Olympics.
